History and Cultural Heritage of Early Modern Korea
교과목해설
이 과목에서는, 먼저 해방 이후의 한국 역사학계가 강조해 온 조선시대사의 발전상과 그 문화유산을 살펴봄으로써, 한국사가 중세에서 근대로 발전해 가는 과정을 이해하는데 중점을 둔다. 이를 토대로 하여 궁극적으로는, 근대를 향한 한국사의 발전이라는 이러한 역사관과 그에 입각한 조선시대의 역사상이, 근대국민국가의 형성이라는 특정한 역사적 맥락에서 진행된 근대 한국역사학의 조선시대사(근세사) 연구의 산물이라는 점을 사학사적/지성사적 맥락에서 함께 살핀다.
교과목해설(영문)
This course is designed to examine how medieval Korea evolved into early modern Korea focusing on political, social, economic, and cultural development of early Chos？n period. This course is also designed to provide the students with solid critiques on this evolution of Korean history by understanding the roles of modern Korean historiography within the context of nation-building in Korea.
